We’re excited to share that our call for Expressions of Interest in funding for July 2026 – June 2027 projects is now open. 

Adding content to Wikimedia platforms is a high-impact, low-cost strategy to reach the global readership of Wikipedia, one of the top visited websites in the world. We’ve helped organisations use Wikimedia platforms to bring Aotearoa New Zealand’s collections, research, and stories to the world.

We welcome opportunities to partner with people and organisations across the country that share our commitment to making knowledge more open, accessible, and connected. As a registered charity, we provide grants and funding to build engagement with the Wikimedia movement, so we can increase our editor base and tell more of Aotearoa New Zealand's stories.

We’re open to all sorts of ideas — learn more about what we do here, or try us out with something new. We welcome proposals from anyone interested in growing Aotearoa New Zealand’s contributions to Wikimedia Platforms.
